Falls Church City Public Schools staff members are  excited to start the 2026-2027 school year! The first day of school is Monday, August 24. This information will help with preparing students for the first day of school.

School Visit

Meet the Teacher Day is Friday, August 21. Families will receive an email from the school with classroom  assignment and group visit assignment.

• Group 1: 10:30-10:55 a.m.

• Group 2: 11:00-11:25 a.m. 

Please park in the Falls Church Presbyterian lot on Fairfax Drive and walk through Frady Park to Jessie Thackrey Preschool.

Bus Routes

The Transportation Department will announce Bus Routes on the fccps.org website by 5:00 p.m. on  Friday, August 14, 2026.
