With Italian Renaissance music playing in their room, these first graders simulated Michelangelo's experience painting upside down!

After an overview of the Sistine Chapel, students took on their drawing efforts on a "ceiling" - the underside of their tables. The students created art with a pencil, and next will color it in with markers.

The activity is part of the PYP unit How We Express Ourselves.
